ABSTRACT

This paper reports the findings of a search through the literatures on leadership to find items of consensus. The eight items found and presented include "leadership is a good thing and more of it is better"; and leadership is a holonomic process. The philosophical issue of place is presented as critical to any assessment of the comprehensiveness of leadership approaches. A code for classifying leadership approaches, based on place, is applied to 11 leadership approaches.
